This article is a brief description of the PBL method that is the base of BIE standards-focused approach. For the BIE (Buck Institute of Education) PBL is a method that comes as a result of the changing world in where we live. They describe the standards-focused PBL as a systematic teaching method that engages students in learning knowledge and skills through an extended inquiry process structured around complex, authentic questions and carefully designed products and task.
An effective project should demand high expectations from our students and incorporate new challenges and authentic problems that should be constantly improving.
